Higgins Model Bolt Action 12 Ga and where the magazine tube screws into the reciver and is where the bolt that goes through the stock goes. it has come off but the thing is it looks like it was something that they attached after the reciver was made because it just has cut out where the barrel screw threads sit. The J C Higgins bolt action shotgun recall only affected certain models of the early production gun in 12 ga. Now I'm going from memory here, but as I recall it the models number up to were recalled because of that bolt problem.
